Overview
Elizabeth Varley initially joined Poppleston Allen in 2016 for a week work experience, she returned the same summer to assist in various teams. Here she worked with clients such as PizzaExpress and Five Guys.
In 2018 she returned for a year as a paralegal and worked closely with Mitchells & Butlers.
In 2022 Elizabeth graduated from the University of Nottingham with a first class degree in LLB Law Hons.
Elizabeth returned full time in June 2022 as a Paralegal.
On 1st April 2023, Elizabeth commenced her training contract with the firm and qualified as a solicitor on 1st October 2024.
Elizabeth has worked with clients such as Vue Cinema and Park Holidays UK Limited.
She now sits in our gambling team, lead by partner, Nick Arron, and assists with a range of gambling queries and applications such as permit applications, new premises licence applications and change of corporate control applications.
Additionally, Elizabeth is an Ask for Angela Ambassador. The national scheme that helps anyone feeling vulnerable on a night out to get the support they need. Through this scheme, Elizabeth holds the National Ask for Angela Vulnerability Training Certification.
Additionally, Elizabeth also holds the BIIAB Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH) and Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holders at SCQF Level 6.
