The firm’s managing partner Lisa Sharkey and partner James Anderson teamed up with Brewhouse & Kitchen to spend a day brewing.
Lisa and James, with the help of the Brewhouse team, brewed a batch of Tricky Tree IPA at the operator’s Trent Bridge site in Nottingham.
Lisa said: “This was a really interesting experience for me as I come from brewing background. I was born and raised in Burton-on-Trent, a town with one of the longest and richest histories of brewing in the UK. My father was a brewer at Ind Coope/Allied Breweries/Molson Coors for over 30 years. It was great fun to roll our sleeves up and get stuck in. I’m not a beer drinker, but I know James really enjoyed the fruits of our labour!”
At the same time, partner Jonathan Smith marked the special week by undertaking a job swap, which saw him work at Pendle Borough Council, in its Licensing Services department. And as part of the swap, a member of the Pendle Borough Council Licensing team will be working at Poppleston Allen later in the week.
National Licensing Week raises awareness generally about licensing through national and local licensing initiatives.
