Impact on licensing hours as England progress to the Last 32

Now that the Group stage of the World Cup has been completed England’s potential path to the final has become clear.

Having finished first in Group L England now progress to the last 32 where they will face DR Congo at 17:00 on Wednesday 1^st July. Provided your Premises Licence permits the sale of alcohol to 23:00 that day then your hours are automatically extended to 01:00 the following morning.

A victory in that game will see England play either Mexico or Ecuador at 01:00 Monday 6^th July. A TEN will be needed for this game, unfortunately the deadline for issuing even a Late TEN has now passed.

All England matches in rounds after the last 16 will benefit from the relaxation of hours. A 22:00 kick off on Saturday 11^th July in the quarter finals will mean premises can sell alcohol until 02:00 the following morning. The semi-final and final both kick off at 20:00 so the extension will be until 01:00.
