Announcing new Managing Partner

Poppleston Allen, the UK’s leading licensing law firm, has announced that Jonathan Smith will be handing over the reins as Managing Partner to Lisa Sharkey from April 2018, and will assume the role of Senior Partner.

Lisa was one of the founding members of the firm, and has worked closely with Jonathan to build the business to where it is today.

Jonathan Smith commented: “It gives me enormous pride to be handing over to Lisa.  I wish Lisa well in the role that has brought me immense satisfaction over the past 12 years, during which time the firm has nearly doubled in size.  I have every confidence that Lisa will bring something new to the role.  We have great strength in depth at the firm, a fact that was demonstrated in the recent accolades from Chambers and the Legal 500, where we had more solicitors and offices ranked for licensing than any other law firm in the United Kingdom.  I am very much looking forward to getting back full time into client work; a role which I have missed”.
