London, Essex and others set to move to Tier 2 from Saturday

With London, Essex and other parts of England set to change Tier we set out some useful reminders of what this means for Hospitality businesses

“As London and other parts of England including:

  • Essex (except Southend and Thurrock)
  • Elmbridge in Surrey
  • Barrow in Furness, Cumbria
  • York
  • North East Derbyshire
  • Chesterfield
  • Erewash, Derbyshire

prepare to enter Tier 2 (high alert) – as a reminder the high alert level adds increased levels of restrictions currently imposed nationally.

Tier 2 prevents mixing between different households or bubbles indoors (and so including hospitality premises) with the rule of 6 to continue to apply outdoors, in public spaces and private gardens.

This inevitably has an impact on the hospitality industry and to assist further.
