And He’s Off…
Licensing solicitor Felix Faulkner has set off on a challenging three-day, 270km charity bike ride through Norfolk, joining 65 fellow riders from across the hospitality industry. The event, organised by Pedalling to Pubs, is raising vital funds for the Licensed Trade Charity and Only a Pavement Away.
Now in its fourth year, the annual event brings together hospitality professionals from across the UK to raise vital funds and awareness for the charities, which provide support, opportunities and practical assistance to people facing hardship, homelessness and barriers to employment within the hospitality sector.
The Pedalling to Pubs initiative has become one of the sector’s leading fundraising events, having raised more than £250,000 for charitable causes since its inception.
This year’s Norfolk route is the longest Pedalling to Pubs challenge to date, covering 270km over three days. The demanding route takes riders from Norwich to Thetford, then on to Kings Lynn, before looping back to Norwich, featuring 600 metres of elevation gain along the way.
Felix joined the ride to support the important work undertaken by both charities and has already raised an impressive £1,800 through the generosity of clients, colleagues, friends, family and industry contacts.
