Course Summary

As a firm of solicitors with nationwide coverage we are uniquely placed to deliver this course drawing on our experience of how the Gambling Act is being implemented.

The Award in Working Within Gambling Legislation course has been designed to ensure that anyone who is involved with activities covered by the Gambling Act 2005, whether they work in a casino or a betting shop, a newsagent selling lottery tickets or for a charity in a fundraising capacity, is aware of both their legal and social responsibilities under the Act.

The course will cover the three Licensing Objectives in depth:

• To keep crime out of gambling
• To ensure that gambling is conducted fairly and openly
• To protect children and other vulnerable people from being harmed or exploited by gambling

The qualification, which is deliverable in one day is supported by an informative, interactive, learner-friendly workbook and is assessed via a 24 question, 30 minute multiple choice examination.
