“You may recall from our previous Enews that in 2018, the Public Health (Minimum Price for Alcohol) (Wales) Act 2018 received Royal Assent, allowing Welsh Ministers to establish a minimum unit price (MUP) for alcohol supplied in Wales.
It has today been announced in the Welsh Government newsroom that, following receipt of consultation responses, Welsh minsters are to push ahead with a MUP for alcohol of 50p.
The Welsh Government will be laying its regulations for the MUP for alcohol before the National Assembly later this year.
Should you wish to review the consultation responses, these should be available here shortly.”
