“Liverpool City Council has made the decision to remove its existing Cumulative Impact Policy as part of its recent Statement of Licensing Policy Review.

Prior to the review of its policy the City Council had introduced at various times Special Cumulative Impact Policies (SCIP) within its Statement of Licensing Policy covering 5 different areas in the City.

It was decided by the Licensing and Gambling Committee on 30th December 2020 not to continue with any SCIP, and the new policy was approved by the full Council on 20th January 2021.

This is a move that will be welcomed by the Hospitality Sector and a Licensing Authority yet again taking a pragmatic view in respect of the ongoing and catastrophic impact of COVID on its City.”
