“The findings of a recent compliance assessment have led to the Gambling Commission issuing a letter to all online casino operators with details of actions that need to be taken by the Casino sector with immediate effect.
The letter advises “Due to the serious nature of the assessment findings, we have already started investigations into 17 remote operators and are keeping under consideration whether it is necessary to commence a licence review of five operators…”
The Commission confirm that the common failings were regarding the operators approach to anti-money laundering regulations and social responsibility provisions . The letter provides a summary of the issues found and concludes by setting out actions that operators need to take when reviewing their policies and procedures.
The letter can be read in here.
