Overview
David is a solicitor in Poppleston Allen’s London office. David joined Poppleston Allen in 2015 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2018.
David advises on all aspects of alcohol and entertainment licensing law including new premises licence applications, full and minor variations, temporary event notices, premises licence reviews and appeals. David represents his clients at contested hearings and advises on complex licensing matters in cumulative impact areas.
David advises on betting and gaming matters and regularly assists clients by providing regulatory advice and carrying out applications for operating licences and premises licenses.
David acts for a variety of national and independent operators in the hospitality and retail industries including major restaurant chains, pubs, hotels, nightclubs, shopping centres, bingo operators and adult gaming centres.
David holds the National Certificate for Licensing Practitioners and the National Certificate for Licensing Practitioners (Gambling). He provides BII accredited training for compliance under the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005.
David graduated from the University of Reading in 2008 with an undergraduate degree in Philosophy. He obtained a commendation in the Graduate Diploma in Law in 2010 and a distinction in the Legal Practice Course in 2011 from BPP University in London.
