Smoke free premises

You must ensure that nobody smokes inside your licensed premises

Along with many developed countries throughout the world, England was the last of the UK countries to ban smoking in public places, on 1st July 2007.

Smoking is not allowed in licensed premises and strict rules apply in determining the compliance of partially enclosed areas commonly associated with outside smoking areas.

There are a number of offences that can be committed, ranging from individuals being prosecuted for actually smoking in an enclosed place through to offences committed by any Manager or person in control of premises who allows smoking to take place in an enclosed place.

We can provide you with further information and advice, not only in terms of compliance with the legislation internally, but also in relation to the compliance of any proposed smoking solution areas outside.
