“Hackney’s full Council on the 26th July 2017 approved the Late Night Levy.
The Council have agreed the following:
The Council have also agreed that the Group Director for Neighbourhoods and Housing creates a management board to oversee how the revenue is spent. Representatives from Licensed Premises liable to pay the levy would be invited to participate in this arrangement.
The Council will accept free variations to reduce the hours in order to avoid the Levy payment. The Council have not decided when the free variations can be applied for or if a condition can be added to the premises licence in order to avoid the levy.
