Business signage and external advertising can both have planning implications
Most licensed premises need to display the name of the premises, by way of signage. They may also place awnings at the premises.
The regime that deals with advertising is slightly separate to planning and under some circumstances awnings may be placed at a premises without the need for planning permission or advertising consent.
The same also applies in relation to jumbrellas, some of which may require planning permission.
In conjunction with the BII, we have created an exam compiled from past paper questions.
