Today, Nottingham City Council has granted an application by JD Wetherspoon for one of its pubs to have its hours cut back until midnight, but only for the period during which the Late Night Levy applies to it. Should the Late Night Levy no longer apply to the premises, then the premise can revert to its original hours on its Premises Licence upon giving the Police requisite notice.
