The Private Members Bill did not proceed to its second reading today due to lack of time
n my eNews of 17 February 2014 (linked here ) I reported that a Private Members Bill introduced by Diana Johnson, MP for Kingston Upon Hull North, was due to receive its second reading on 28 February 2014. The Bill proposed that all councils be required to adopt powers to regulate SEV venues and to carry out wider consultation with local communities.
The Bill did not receive its second reading due to lack of parliamentary time but it may proceed at a later date. We will be monitoring, so watch this space.'
