Nick Arron - Solicitor
Nick joined Poppleston Allen in 1998 as IT Director before moving on to become Project Manager where he managed a number of web-based initiatives and training projects. He then left us to travel the world for two years and spent time working as a Para Legal with Baker & McKenzie and Freehills in Sydney, Australia.On his return to Poppleston Allen in September 2003, Nick became Poppleston Allen's first trainee solicitor, and is now fully qualified.
Nick is a member of the Betting & Gaming team having responsibility for Operating, Personal and Premises Licences under the Gambling Act 2005. He has appeared as an advisor and commentator several times for the trade press in this area. He regularly delivers training on the Gambling Act 2005 to local authority officers and members and the police. In addition Nick has been practising licensing law for many years, working with several major clients of the firm.
Latterly, Nick has developed our employment law service in conjunction Hutchinson Cummins, which aims to provide retail operators with the basic employment documentation for members of staff, information pertinent to the leisure industry and regular news updates.
