News: Many LA's have adopted the SEV Licence provisions

  • Date: 30/11/2011
  • Author/Solicitor: Lisa Sharkey

We are currently contacting local authorities across England and Wales to identify those authorities who are adopting the provisions to licence sexual entertainment venues.

Of the authorities that we have contacted:-

• 86.4% have already adopted the legislation and 31.4% of local authorities are operating under the new regime.

• 9.9% are in the process of adopting the legislation;

• 3.7% of councils have decided not to adopt the legislation.

Most authorities have decided to adopt the provisions, even if they have no current venues in their area to ultimately licence!

For more information please contact Lisa Sharkey
