The route that the Olympic torch is taking has been revealed today.
The organisers claim that 95% of the population will be within 10 miles of the torch route.
Find out now where the route is going near you, and start to make plans around the date. We have said in previous articles and eNews that you should make any applications for Temporary Event Notices sooner rather than later, with the changes to the Licensing Act 2003 shortly to be introduced when the Environmental Health Officer will be able to object to your large marquee in the beer garden, and the live band you will be putting on whilst the relay comes past your pub.
Local Authorities will be holding events going into the evening when the torch passes through their area. Consider what is planned and when.
Don't wait, study the route, study your licence and get your extensions in order, both for any additional hours you may want, but particularly for any areas which are not currently covered by your Premises Licence.
